Hi Rem,
You are my first welcome! I too am new, but everyone here makes you feel like you are part of the family very quickly. And if you're anything like me, you will feel more positive about your life after only a few days than you have in a very long time. Welcome Rem!

combatstress

DOD contract post traydoc. No ets, talk with SM all day long. h ope you get some help. Most of the folks I talk with get the same old shit from the USA. Want you guys to man up and do your jobs. but if you have some ptsd you are either p*ssys or FOS. SO the few that do speak up and ask for help get it or command comes down on them. Chapter sometimes but mostly more duty. If you are serious about the help it is out there and free. I have no Idea about you local resources but One Source is an aid or the meddac in your AO. Take care of this sooner rather that later. Most take about a year before they come in all jacked up. DO IT BEFORE YOU ARE COMMAND REFER> TELL YOUR NCO!!!!! IT IS THERE JOB TO TAKE CARE OF THE TROOP>

Welcome Remnarc,

It is hard to deal with anger, Especially when you cant control it. I know from experience, there are days were I want to explode due to the stupidity/Lazziness of individials. Sometimes you have to walk away for a second and collect yourself. It is hard to not react if you stay in the situation. I have reached new levels of anger that i did not know i was capable of, it took me 3 years after I got back for me to realize it. Getting some direction early on will defenately help you out. Keep in mind that sometimes things feel like they get wore before better. Dont lose hope. Believe me, I know the bell tower thing is tempting!

Welcome,

DD

Desert Dweller I come from the Vietnam period it was hard you people are doing some very outstanding things and then you will have another generation that will come along and outdo you.Where does it end ? I thought that after Vietnam that shit would never happen again. What we all have to look at is how do we stop these things from happening.War is war but why do women and children and old men die.I can understand in the civil wars when soldier lined up against soldier and I think on most parts chivallery prevailed. What I cant comprehend is when we wipe out a whole family to find an insergent or VC who is probably a family member and it turns the tide against us.We also get bad publicity from home who gives a rats arse about the veteran only the poor peasant who was killed most likekly after he had killed your mate or mine.Like me or love me Porky Rees
