Wow, there was a huge walkout of delegates just after Hillary was nominated. The photos were not enough evidence for me that they were taken of the right place at the right time without being photoshopped - but this #demexit video was taken when Hillary's video was playing just after the nomination: https://twitter.com/sci_solar/status/758117863441825792 That is huge for Hillary to lose that much of her base.

This is a news article about the walkout: http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/201...ganized-walkout-under-everyone-s-nose-n617521

I believe that the reason that a few GOP leaders are withdrawing support from from Trump is because he is privately funded and answers to no special interest group that he is forced to cater to.
Can you explain more? It has been my limited experience that many conservatives are leaving the GOP for the opposite reason, but the GOP isn't the same as conservatism anymore.

@Justmehere I was speaking in ignorance of the facts. I hope that this clears things up for you. I am taking a wait and see until November to watch events unfold. I am being more cautious and looking for facts now. Thank you for pointing this one out.

I'm still learning a lot myself as I go too @gizmo.

He is now actively calling for a forgien government to spy on a US citizen and government leader: http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/27/politics/donald-trump-vladimir-putin-hack-hillary-clinton/index.html

Trump working with the Russians seems to be an open fact based on what Trump had said, it seems to only be a matter of how much he is working with them.

I also think there is more going on behind the DNC hack than the Russians alone... and that's why I think Trump is being foolish on this. I think he underestimates the forces against the US, which is ironic since he campaigns on being the strong leader that will protect us from them. I can't quite make sense of it myself.

No he is not. He was light heartedly saying that he did not think the Russians were behind the hack. Then, in context, to his comments suggested the Russians help find the missing 30,000 e-mails. His inference was if they were behind the hack, then they could return the e-mails that they have.

He was not asking them to hack, just returned what has already been hacked.

@RussH - Thanks for thoughtfully explaining more. I can agree with you on parts of it.

What he said was (per the CNN article above), "Russia, if you are listening, hope you are able to find the 30,000 missing emails."

The DNC hack (via anonymous and possibly Russia) was not about 30,000 missing emails.

Hillary turning over emails to our government was missing 30,000 deleted emails and had the private server situation in her capacity as Sec of State. Different email scandal - it's not the DNC hack one. (I know, too many to keep track... Sigh.) If he meant the DNC hack, It's a strange way for a plain talker to communicate about it, especially to mix them up at a new conference he called to issue pre-planned remarks.

I can agree that it would be great if ISIS and the US could work together to stop ISIS. Right now, on the ground in Syria, it's a proxy war between Russia and the US, who both claim they are there against ISIS as they arm different rebels against ISIS.

I don't think we should trust Russia with our state dept emails, and I don't think we should be asking the Russians to look for them.

Trump should know that the Russians are not going to turn over evidence of their efforts to spy on the US, not even if we ask nicely. So why did he call this press conference? It's strange.

He did tweet after the conference "If Russia or any other country or person has Hillary Clinton's 33,000 illegally deleted emails, perhaps they should share them with the FBI."

Newt has called the situation a joke, but damn, that's not a very funny joke. It's at best confusing, at worst leading to our enemies thinking we are encouraging them to spy on us. So many have said what Trump is joking - I don't think Trump is trying to be that much of a comedian though, because this gets said all the time. I don't think Russia is taking it as a joke.

It's an interesting situation and the first time I have seen Trump start to back off on a stance.

What he said was (per the CNN article above), "Russia, if you are listening, hope you are able to find the 30,000 missing emails."
I watched it live and heard exactly what he said, and the context of how he said it. I knew immediately that he was referring to the 30,000 missing e-mails from her private server, and he was not, again not asking Russia to hack the e-mails, but send the ones already hacked.
There was a panel of five news pundits that was talking about it shortly after, and the only one who thought Trump was asking the Russians to hack was the democratic strategist, the other four saw it exactly the way I have posted.

And this still does not address the content of the e-mails that were released by WikiLeaks, and organization I personally distain by the way.

I do think @RussH that you are right on the mark. This is going to follow Clinton around during the entire election. I think that many people in this country are sick and tired and fed up with the lying and deceit. Among many other issues.

He didn't hold a press conference to releasing new comprehensive foreign policy plans. He didn't ask to meet with the Russians. He held a news conference to ask the Russians hand over emails of the sec state to the press... The Russians are not going to hand over the emails from the Sec of State from several years ago, even if they did get them through spying on us, no matter how many times Trump tweets. Russia and Russian media (controlled by the state) has been silent on the matter for a long time, and that has shown no sign of changing. So I keep wondering, why did Trump do this?

@RussH - since you watched it live, what do you think about his initial call for Russia to hand the Sec of State emails to the press? I'm glad he backtracked that to tweet to say to hand them to the FBI, but it's leadership that is concerning in this hostile and rocky world.

Trump has achieved this: he has successfully stolen the spotlight from Clinton by doing something shocking to many Americans. As predicted.

@Justmehere you nailed that one, I think he was initially making a joke and the speculation about this from the liberal press is just as bad in my opinion. If the leftist press would be more fixed on the true facts things would be so much better.

No matter how outragous and shocking Trump is he will not ever get anything positive that he does in the mainstream leftist press.

They crucified Bush. The guy even had people putting pictures of him on their bodies with tattoos.

I think the ridulous meter has gone through the roof.

I do not like so many things I see for myself about Trump and both candidates are going to say and do what ever they want in my opinion.

This is something being blown way out of proportion. He was saying that he did not think the Russians were behind the e-mail scandal (The DNC one), he really didn't think so, He then went on and said something to the effect but if they are, the Russians, maybe they can find the 30,000 missing e-mails (Hilary's scandal)

He did not ask the Russians to hack e-mails, he inferred that they should release the missing e-mails. When he said this his manner was off the cuff jest. He was not serious in his comment.

I saw that @RussH and he was joking around and the point is that whoever hacked into the account is welcome to find the missing emails and turn them in.
