dammit. Ray Benson. Saw him from the tenth row and just got bliwn away by his confidence and respect for the music without taking himself too seriously at all. I cant stand a singer that is all about being cool or pretty or better than the music, stand and deliver and have fun and laugh a little. Favorite Recipe you can nail everytime?

Orange rolls. I make them for Christmas, they have way too many steps but my extended family thinks they’re the bomb. My grandma once asked for the recipe, I got to step 3 and she said…Nevermind.

math clicked for me. Not my favorite really at the time but I look back at my math classes and remember more AHA! moments that I still refer to all the time, even though I was an english and spelling and reading and journalism library rat at the time.

whats the favorite thing you did that you got in trouble for but laughed all the way home because it was worth it?

I was a goody-two shoes, a pleaser, and a perfectionist. One time in high school (we ate lunch outside on the grass) I just stayed out there talking with my friend—we went to a field behind the school. My school counselor drove by in the golf cart and exclaimed, “OliveJewel, this is so unlike you!” I think that was the beginning of the beginning of my recovery—her statement felt like a powerful validation for me to begin breaking out of the mold.
