This evening while on our way out of town, my husband and I were about to reach the entrance point of a small bridge that runs over a set of railroad tracks when a very lrg. blk. trail blazer type of vehicle pulled out of a driveway on my husband's side (driver's side) and was pointed right in the direction of his door. So what, it's gonna stop, right? No! ......it wasn't stopping!!!!!!!!, :eek: even though on this narrow road the only place for it to drive was into the side of us and our very small car. Whoever, was driving it, didn't seem to notice, or didn't seem to care, :eek: and from where I sat and what I was seeing: ......it was going to drive directly into us :confused: - (maybe blindly, idk). It didn't look like we had time to reach the bridge ahead, (which would've been out of his/her way), and no width to this road, or anyplace to swirve to or drive other then ahead.
I am thankful tonight that I pay attention to details and scan nearly everything surrounding, as automatic and as well as I breath. It's a no, no :cautious: but I reached over to the steering wheel and loudly and quickly hit that horn, :tup: and my husband stepped on the gas, ....and phew big arse trail blazer-like truck slowed and we made it. That was scary!!!
I am thankful that we got lucky, as well as, the truck slowing just enough to stop heading right for us, ....and that he and I reached safety.
I am thankful that we're uninjured and to feel as well as I have today.
I am thankful to have enjoyed today with my husband.
I am thankful to my daughter for her taking the time to share all the episodes to her cartoon creation/story with me tonight and for me being able to pay some decent attention as she shared with me. And, even though I couldn't follow as well as I am accustomed to understanding, or retain the storyline from the episode before, as well as I would of liked to been able to, I am thankful.
I am thankful that my son eventually stopped harrassing me to lift his consequences for his misbehavior.
I am thankful that my God mother sat for my husband and I tonight.
I am thankful that the replacement on our burnt video camera came through, is way cool and though authorized low was squared away by the store manager and increased to a more fair amount for replacement.
I am thankful for my husband's 3 wk. vacation, with 1 week now remaining and I look forward to dreaming of enjoying a chunk of family fun during it, (and just maybe this for real happening);
With even a little less necessary life's demands and work to be done, perhaps this can be accomplished and enjoyed! ;)
