What Are You Thankful For?

A bed to sleep in at night. Food to eat. Comforts to make me feel so good.

Connection with other people.

Small incremental changes in recovery.

That today is a better day then my day yesterday was. Most of it was my physical illness, but the depression was there too.

A half day off and just the right remnant with two spools of thread for the yoke of the regalia. For $4 at a thrift shop. So when I do my shrink homework and the questionnaire, I'll have time to experiment with some of the beading techniques for the yoke. I expect it will be heavy because I didn't pick up seed beads.

The days getting longer and longer each day, which means I don't have to close the curtains so early.

I am grateful that I am more aware and noticing stuff. I am not totally dissociated in my house.

That me and my family are getting out of here tonight for a very good cause. It will certainly take my mind off of the inner voices bombarding me today.

I'm so thankful that moving has actually helped me. No more horrible/trigger filled memory places, less worry about running into an abuser, more internal peace and a feeling that I can actually go out into the world again!

I am glad that I have the money to pay my bills, That I live with my family now. For this laptop to stay in touch with people. That it stopped raining and is sunny.
