What Are You Thankful For?

Thankful that I made it through the day, did two good deeds and did something proactive.

I'm thankful for this forum and the people on it. I've finally found a place where people speak my language and understand me when it feels like no one else could. The people here are supportive and encouraging.

I'm thankful that my neighbour who is taller than me was able to take the faulty batteries out of our smoke alarm. It kept giving pathetic dying beeps.

I am grateful for awareness in that is the beginning of a real change and I got my joy and good feelings back.

This sounds absolutely horrible but I'm glad that I just walked away from my dysfunctional family instead of giving them all a piece of my mind. I can be quite the nasty verbally honest (won't say here) when it comes to pointing out the faults of those who have hurt me but walking away was the best thing I can do. I got my grandmothers' rings that were to be mine in the first place. Those will be passed on to a museum and not to my niece because my brother wants nothing to do with me. Sorry to say but those rings, including the diamond I have and the Confederate cash will in face go to the right places they belong to.

I am so thankful for my psychiatrist who not only authorized my prescription early, he had them filled and ready for me to pick up. I just love it. The pharmacy was not crowded so I was not there a long time as usual. I also did good drive on the freeway in a stick shift.

I am thankful that my son has graduated. The formal ceremony is Sunday, but he is practicing today. It was a long, hard road and he made it! I'm so very thankful for that.

I am thankful that I have so much help with the move and I have a plan all set out to get the moving out done.

I am thankful that my husband took over the cooking when I couldn't do it and that he actually enjoys doing so. He's a good cook.

Two unexpected gifts today. A recipe magazine and an Amazon gift card. I had something I'd been wanting and was able to get it. Very nice.
