I had a nice visit with my mom and dad. We celebrated Father's Day and my upcoming birthday. It was just the three of us and it was actually really good. I went shopping at Walmart and bought myself a cowboy hat, gloves and sunglasses for working at the ranch. Also got the George Forman grill - so excited to use it tomorrow night :-).

The cliffs will be full of nesting sea birds, over 200,000 of them. :rolleyes:

Remember to wear a hat, although it is supposed to be lucky if they drop on you :roflmao:.

I achieved all the things I set out to do today, so I rewarded myself with a glass of white wine. I sat in the garden with my book amd my wine in the late afternoon sunshine.

I sat with my stuffed bunny and tried to get in touch with my inner child. I got in touch with her feelings, sad and depressed. I went for a mocha frappe. Made some buisiness calls for my medical coverage and found out that I am still on cobra and qualify for the hctc tax credit for thenext 2 yeats. I have to do some paperwork and they will send it to me. I will fix a light dinner and read.

I do what I call 'intuitive walking'....just walking around with no destination in mind, and I found myself in the park near my house...some good memories from summer camp when I was 8 years old came back...really vivid too! I can remember being asked to raise the flag pole! I laughed! I'm gonna go there tomorrow if I've got the time, it's not far so, even if it's dark I'll go...I'll see if some friends wanna come too! You know, it's nice when you can remember even the 'corny' stuff...so I guess I'm corny, oh well! :D :rolleyes:

I came home from work, made a sandwich and curled up to watch some exceedingly trashy TV. I mean, have you watched BridalPlasty :roflmao::eek:.

Took a long walk with my dog.

I went to the carers office today, got wet, but managed to get home before it poured it down again. :D

This is my 2nd day after being signed off as incapable of working. Did loads yesterday. Spent a long time today in bed. Got up and walked with my dog in the thrashing rain next to the atlantic - no hiding from grounding here!

Properly exhilerating, even my dog caught the bug, we were laughing and pouncing each other while the tourists looked on from their steamed up cars - bemused. The reality of the simple things in life can be so powerful.

Then I fished in the same heaving rain with no luck. The sea birds were having lots of luck - sure they were laughing at me.....
