What Did You Do For You Today???

The weather forced me to change my plans today, so after I had finished cooking and cleaning, I was bored and fed up.

So I put some music on, this turned out to be a mistake, as it sent me on a right downer, brining back memories of happier times, yet I just love hearing it?

I went out for a smoke, and saw some swallows flying, they always cheer me up, as they are so agile and look so graceful as they glide between wing movements.

I could watch them for hours, I also like watching the wee sparrows, as they feed on the bird table I made for the garden, that really calms me down, they are so comical to watch.
 
I did semi supine,which is from The Alexander Technique. I did mindfulness practices: body scan, mindful standing yoga, sitting mindfulness practice 1, sitting mindfulness practice 2, mindfulness of sounds and a breathingscape - all the audio tracks from "The Mindful Way Through Depression".

I am being organised and packing early for my trip tomorrow.
 
Energy came up and I was led to organize my bookshelves. It felt I was going back in time to see and read the titles of those books that were there for me when I began this recovery journey.

I know I was supposed to do this and it was so healing for me. Those books have had such an important place in my life. The bookshelves look and feel so different as I take another step in this process.
 
I went to the cemetery and visited my fathers and grandfathers graves. Picked some weeds, lit some candles, and just stood there silently talking to them for a while. The weather was great so I sat on a bench afterwards and observed some bugs doing their thing. It was so nice being outside in the sun and doing something I wanted to do for quite some time.
 
I got me some lovely fresh cut deep purple daisies and two pots of succulents that will be transplanted tomorrow morning. I keep a candle lit and have fresh flowers all of the time now. Little luxurories I know but it does uplift m spirits.
 
One of my neighbours was throwing out a large double slatted bed, so I asked him if I could have it.

Once it was at my place, I stripped it down, I got 68 screws, various sizes, and about £30 worth of planed wood, and a few metal right angles, that I can use on my next project.

So far I've made, a screen door and a canopy, for the front door, and a garden bench, all from a set of bunk beds that some was throwing out.

I'm happy when pottering about doing stuff like that.
