Relationship What Do You Talk About??

Hubby has said to me a few times to go out and have fun with some friends....

I run my own business and with that and all of the stuff going on with his PTSD and wanting to step up and do more with our son I just dont have the time!! I am trying to earn money to pay for everything too!!

I do feel that we dont have much conversation - Its just all whats going on + work. I know that he says for me to go out so it could give us more to talk about!

I wondered how other carers deal with this? I dont even remember what we used to talk about.... :O(

:roflmao: Oh Sunshine - are you me in an alternative universe?!!!

We went out for a meal a couple of months back - we talked about his business, the dog and the state of our house!!! End of.

I went for my haircut yesterday and my hairdresser, who's only young bless her, booked flight tickets to see her sister in Germany - but has ended up with tickets to fly to the wrong side of the country and is facing a five hour trip via two trains and a bus just to get back to where she should have started. Having lived in Germany for 16 years I thought Husband might have been able to help...

... yeah right! I shouldn't have bothered. I got a 20 minute rant about how stupid she was, why had she booked tickets to the wrong airport etc etc. I then got a list of every airport in Germany, followed by a (purely imaginary I'm sure) flight schedule.

This is why we don't talk very much... :(
