I always loved Santa Clause. So, I adopted the name Saint Nik :) Plus my birthday is 2 days before Christmas!

But recently, I maybe should consider changing it to Sinner Nik :O_o:

There is a blog called "The dictionary of obscure sorrows" with lots of invented words for powerful emotions. Socha is the hidden vulnerability of others, the flaws one doesn't notice passing by a stranger.

 

[barefoot]

I hate wearing shoes....they feel so restrictive. Being barefoot - especially outside in nature - feels freeing...the sensation of grass, sand, earth, water on bare feet feels delicious. And grounded - because if I can feel the ground directly under my feet, on my skin, it means I'm here, present, consciously feeling something in the moment. Ah...I'm barefoot and wiggling my toes as I type! :-)

Cool name. I like the number 7 also. I thought that maybe you were a Jeep fan or something. lol My brother had a CJ7, if I remember right.

Casper is the first dog I ever owned on my own. A Border Collie who lived to be almost 19 years old. 1018 is the birthday of my 2 sons. A combination of things that have kept me going when I've felt like giving up through the years. They all have depended on me and I needed to get better and want to stay "here" to take care of them.

That's how I am, for my daughter and my cats. Those are really the only true reasons that I haven't 'cashed out' yet. I have a white cat named Casper. :)

My cousin calls me Chincho, it comes from the Spanish word for dinghy. He says my grandmother was a big ship and I was always trailing behind her.

Kwan Yin is a Buddhist who, according to legend, achieved the enlightenment and reached Nirvana. However, she chose instead to stay on Earth to help people who are suffering. She will stay on Earth until all suffering is resolved. I have a small alter with a statue of her along with offering bowls. I meditate with her guidance. When I think of her it calms me down. It reminds me that whatever is troubling me and causing anxiety, I simply return to my breathing until I feel calm.
