Thank you, Loveneverfails for reminding me of an early good memory.

When you talked about the heartbeat, it reminded me of the heartbeat of the animals in the back yard. When they cuddled with me at night, it was that same feeling.

When I decided to show my sons what it was like to play in the rain. I ran out to their play set and slid down the slide. They both followed suit, including their dad and the dogs. It was such an unexpected thing for me to do, but my son's laughter made it all worth it.

I meditate. I usually end up seeing the cosmos in my mind when I do. Sometimes I astral project right into the cosmos and am in the cold silence of space, amongst the stars. It's beautiful. It's relaxing. It's serene. Nothing can hurt me or touch me there. I feel like I'm home.

Rainbows always make me smile, I don't know why. It's a child-like feeling.
Laying on a beach somewhere with the sun beating down---I love the beach!

A good memory, anytime I was dancing, the studio was my safe haven. I could always dance my stress away

The idea that my mom was here when I thought, briefly, that she was visiting because I saw her car(that my husband now drives). Thank you Finding Shawna for giving me that thought.:)

The image of my daughter all divorce over and safe. The image of her moved into her own place and settled and living her life normally. That comforts me and keeps me going.

I find butterflies to be very spiritual. I have been incorporating them into my pottery. They bring me a sense of calm I think.

Years ago when I had horses I used to love being with them. It was all very peaceful. I sure miss those days and I am so glad I had them.

I was really happy when she was living on her own and she was safe and well. I hope my daughter will have that again soon.

I was able to touch my son through the incubator, but I had stroked him and some of the monitors went off. The nurse snapped at me that that wasn't good for him. .

I think it was a few days before I could touch the twins and they told us not to stroke but to place a firm hand on them. They told us touch was important but stroking aggravates their nervous system. She should not have snapped at you. I am sorry you had to go through the NICU experience as well. It is very traumatizing. Most moms get to hold their babies and not being able to touch them for several days is hard.

I do remember this young couple in the NICU with my tots and they never left their baby alone. Both were smokers and they would come in and the smell would make me sick. I remember thinking how awful for their teeny baby to be breathing in all those chemicals. They both had company all the time in the NICU and this poor baby never had any rest. I used to feel sorry for the baby. I did find that the firm touch was calming to them and me as well. It is hard having a child in a NICU. Mine were in the hospital for a month and I have got nothing but nice things to say about Ronald MacDonald House. They are a great organization. The first time my husband and I kangarooed the twins their appetite and overwell wellbeing improved the next day. I think the overall experience of being on bedrest for several months and the NICU experience has added to my PTSD.
