I like to remember the night skies of an island where I used to live. It's one of the brightest skies in the world: you can see the entire Milky Way & feel the galaxy around you. I used to get lost in the sensation of "being the universe". After all we are just stardust, we are part of that endless magnificence. I like to remember the clouds curling like waves over the mountains, and the ocean crashing into huge "alcantilados", rock formations.

I like to visualize that I am soaring, I did that long before actually getting into flying. When I used to close my eyes I would transform into a huge Eagle, and watch the Earth from high above, and see my perspective change the higher I got.

I imagine myself climbing the Zugspitze - all alone, with the sun rising behind me, the river down to my feet and the wood around. How I felt my own body and the backpack back then...and that my best friend would await me at the end of the exhausting tour.

@Anrish Your post amazed me, so similar to my own! I have been interested in mountain climbing for several years. (Not to do it physically, but looked at it as a metaphor of the spiritual journey.) My favorite mountain climbing books are 'The Crystal Horizon' by Reinhold Messner, and 'Extreme Alpinism: Climbing Light, Fast and High' by Mark F. Twight. I had a (vision?) once of me being on the top of a snow covered mountain. I was wearing a summer dress and no shoes, but did not feel the cold. (It wasn't a death vision, but a vision of success at the end of the journey.)

A memory that makes me feel good: I remember when I was in Elementary School (1st - 6th grade). Every month in class we were given a wonderful magazine-pamphlet of books we could order, that would be delivered to us in the classroom! My Mom would let me order two books every month, and it was one of the highlights of my childhood since I loved reading so much! (I still remember two of those books till this day.)
