Read books in the back yard on a blanket with the little one and did yoga for the first time.
Awesome veiled. And, though I no nothing of yoga, it had been recommended to me in the far past by a friend and another PTSD sufferer who claimed it works miracles for her.

From what little I have seen I strongly recommend giving it a try. It is amazing.

......sent Thank You cards to my son and fiance for the gift and for the trip to the art museum to see works from my favorite painter...Claude Monet.... She was sooooo very helpful during the times that I got in and out of the car and they both seemed to enjoy themselves as well as enjoying me enjoying myself!!! LIVING AND BREATHING THE PEACE

:thumbs-up I posted in two different threads some hopefully supportive replies...because I came to some very important realizations today...I CAN STOP THE ABUSE AND I WILL!!!  GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!!!!

I did a good job at work today. It makes such a difference when I am positive and enthusiastic! I know that I'm helping the kids I work with feel the same way.

Today I came across a young man that had car trouble. The battery connector had broken from corrosion. He didn't have the tools to install it correctly and couldn't get it to run. He as only a 1/2 block from my home, so I went home and got my tool pack. Came back and after 5 minues his car was up and running. He was really thankful for it. And I felt good.

I ain't no kid of mechanic, but I am fairly good with electrical stuff (if I can get to it).

Has the yoga helped you much at all? Coz my mum got me a dvd and book for it, but im kinda skeptical as to whether its worth trying?

As for something good ive done today, I finally managed to finish off a skirt i started making weeks ago...and i didnt yell at my dad when he offered to help me!

I wrote and sent a message to my son. I have not seen or spoken to him in almost 12 years. I found his profile on My Space. I do not know if he will write back but even if he doesn't at least I got a chance to tell him I love him.

Good luck on that Jet.

Kara, the yoga does help if you do the right kind. It is overwhelming how much goes into it and the different varieties. But for me when my therapist walked me through it she was also speaking to me in such a soothing tone and it was like one of those relaxation CDs you listen to.

She suggested a directional DVD or video by Patricia Walden. She said it may be a bit dated but she was real soothing. She is going to look in her collection and find a title that is best suited for anxiety. She could not remember off the cuff. I will find out next time I visit and let you know when I do.

She strongly suggests going to classes designed for aniety but since the only time I can find classes conflict with my hubs driving schedule I do not go and I already fight with the agoraphobia.

Thing to remember not all yoga is the same. Some can be very soothing and you don't have to do all the positions. Try to find something made for anxiety relief. Others are too hard core a work out.

The stretches really help me, that I do know, as it can really get some of those kinks worked out without a massage. And used with or during relaxation CDs it can work like a charm to center you. It is worth learning.
