I finally was able to find a "peace lily" plant for my home and I bought it.

I just knew that I needed it for my home so I can look at it on a daily basis. It is a reminder of so many things to me!

Today was a pretty crappy day. But I did take some time to watch the baby ducks with their mommy and daddy swimming in the lake behind our house. Along with geese, swans and big ol' bass.

 

[Tornadic Thoughts]

Today kicks off the official garden season as we begin receiving our CSA share (Community Supported Agriculture) from a local organic farmer. YAY!!! From now until October, every Saturday will feel like xmas to me as I wait to see what grew well each week. Finally, the letters CSA can have a meaning in my life that nurtures me rather than continuing to tear me down. May all the gardens of all the seed planters grow well and nurture.

My neighbor came over and helped me to decide where to put the whiskey barrel I got for in the front of the house. It looks really good where we decided to put it and now I have it filled with the potting soil.

The next step is to decide what flowers to plant in it!

Sucking ants. We went to the park, and I got to test out the aspirator that Boyfriend made for me. It works perfectly. He even found a tiny filter so ants always end up in the specimen vial, not in my lungs.

 

[Tornadic Thoughts]

Happy that the big maple tree that the wind took out yesterday didn't damage anything or anyone and fell just short enough not to block the neighbor's driveway. Still finding random flower pots/limbs/other debris in some of the damnedest places with each walk I take. My nervous system still isn't all that happy, but it's finding its footing again, slowly but surely.
