Hey @MrMoonlight
I saw those guys- the "love stinks" tour I guess. They played in a great old Rock Castle in Portland Oregon (now the symphony plays there, no symphony would have dared when it was still cool). The guy had major memorable monster energy. He (Peter Wolf) married Faye Dunniway a few years back. Great show that makes it worth being old enough to remember.
Today, I am listening to
"boundless love" byJohn Prine
It is stuck in my brain until I learn to play it so I can let my memory clear the RAM and defrag.
"If by chance, I should find myself at risk
Of falling from this jagged cliff
I look below and I look above
I'm surrounded by your boundless love"
That must have been so fun @enough ... we had some good music back then. J. Geils always reminds me of a particular time ... with my brother ... must have been early 80s maybe 79?
You are so lucky to be able to look back a good concert like that ... I saw a lot of bands from maybe the 1980 to maybe mid 90s.
@MrMoonlight
I was maybe ten years ahead of you, old enough to see the Allman's, not old enough to see Janis or Jimi or Jim, saw Tom Petty for less than 2 bucks. And again for maybe 100 times that.
And I saw the Pretenders at a local venue. My wife calls it "Rock for the average housewife" I am more entertained by the later stuff like "Break up the concrete" not at all average.
Trivia- how many bands can you name that have an animal in their name? The animals don't count. byrds eagles flock of seagulls yardbirds counting crows ......?
