What Tv Show Makes You Feel Good?

Arrested Development is a hilarious, fast-paced dry comedy.

Nathan For You is awfully dumb but great for laughs.

House is nice because I get to worry about other people's problems instead of my own.

And I would be remiss not to mention the magnificent Breaking Bad, but it's not exactly uplifting. And of course, being who I am, I'm biased towards this show... ;-)

I've all my favourites on boxed sets.

Chuck- my go to show
Sherlock
Doctor who (the Russell T Davis era)
Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (panned when it came out but I love it)
NCIS
Castle

Love this thread.

Charmed calms me down as well. So does Modern Family. I also love Archer. South Park is basically like the media version of a blankie for me. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of their episodes up to season 14.

I looove re-watching shows from my childhood. Rugrats, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, even The Fairly Oddparents, which came on when I was starting to watch more adult content.

Edited to add that I rarely meet a kid's movie I don't love.

@Simply Simon The latest South Park season (18) has been quite redemptive—the best the show has been in a long time. (It had lost me a while back, but 18 grabbed me back in.) Unlike other seasons, watch this one in order. More "callback" jokes than SP has ever had.

Dr Who, Graham Norton, Would I lie to you, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Call the Midwife, Death in Paradise, QI, St Elsewhere (want that on DVD), IT Crowd, Miranda, BroadChurch (sorry American version doesn't touch the UK one), Ducks Quack (can't remember what it is called), New Tricks

Teen titans go! It's a kid show but I watch it with my son and I find it pretty hysterical

South Park and Hannibal, both hilarious for different reasons. I'm also very behind on any and all pop culture knowledge that isn't Marvel and Nollywood so thank you all for this thread.

Hi guys! Especially Kaia! (Thank you for your likes dear Kaia!) I honestly don't know why so many people love South Park. Every time I am with someone who watches it, my heart breaks because it seems so often it is about religion. I'm Catholic, and would love to see humorous things besides a dig (sometimes a big one!) about believing in monotheistic religions. Just sayin'....it hurts.

P.S. Just to let anyone of you wondering if I am sitting here with a Bible in my lap, yes my Bible is in easy access! lol But to answer the "question", my favorite TV show is 'Criminal Minds'. It doesn't make me feel good, but I like it.

Grey's Anatomy tops my list.
After that, a lot of British shows like Downton Abbey, Foyle's War, Call the Midwife.
British comedy in general. The Vicar of Dibley is good for a laugh.

The Vicar of Dibley is quite sweet, I love the blond woman in it :)

Actually thinking about programs that comfort me, rather than just those that make me laugh or interest me - then there are probably a lot:

Almost anything with dogs in it. They are so loving and genuine I love them!
The Waltons :p
Quantum Leap
Paddington Bear
I'm sure there more, can't seem to think of them at the moment. Will come back to this :)

Michael McKintyre. OMG, watched his comedy performance yesterday night where he did his routine about having his wisdom teeth removed. I haven't laughed that hard in years. Brilliant.
