What Would You Trade For?

I was thinking today that it would be nice to trade parts of our personalities with other people. We could add a little of this and a little of that. Get those things that we like in other people that we see lacking in ourselves.

We wouldn't be stuck with so much of who we are and could become (the easy way;)) more what we look forward to being.

I wanted to trade a little part of me for some of Jadebear's boldness. That would suit me well I think, to have a dash more of that.

Are you sure you would like some of my boldness seedling? It is helpful at times, but it also causes problems too. But that's probably why you said you would trade for 'some' of my boldness....

I would like to have some of your kindness and empathy.

I would gladly trade a part of me for James B's honesty and effort. He always tried so hard to help others and was so caring. (BTW, I miss him being on the forum)

I couldn't even begin to make a list- SOOO many! Although hee- Anni's social skills- if I wish to develope some of THOSE should probably think about leaving the riding crop at home.

Sorry to mention your name again Jadebear, but I agree with Seedling. I could use some of your stuffing, to be sure, and do frequently wish I had it.

Junebug's kindness. In a forum marked by a plethora of OUT of ordinarily kind people-have to say she sort of stands out. Like I said, though, GOSH there are so many- and have genuinely learned so MUCH from every, single one. For real. Gloria's unstoppable energy, RJ's laser beam directness, TK's immovable confidence in tomorrow, the members like ITL who can laugh AT the darkness, not just through it ( several of those, she's just the most predictably likely to do that ), seedlings perceptions, like this one, Tessa'a faith. See? Too many, so if I haven't names someone it's out of there being so many good lessons this past year or so. Things-I'd-Like-To-Be, so nice to have it pointed out that pehaps others can show me how.

Saw this thread and just felt compelled to write something here. From speaking to a few members here a common theme runs through.

This forum has to have the nicest bunch of people of any forum, all sorts of people from different walks of life and different countries.

I would say that yes would be great to have some of the wonderful triats of different people on here, but truthfully your all great as you are.

I mean even death has a good sense of humour :p

Why, thank you. A tip for you all - brush twice a day, with good quality toothpaste and brush, and visit the dentist every 6 months. At least when you get a kiss from Death, it's minty fresh! wa ha ha ha ha ha

This is very thought provoking.

As I mulled it over, I realized that I already have a small piece of everyone here in me and each of you have a small piece of me in you. That is what makes this forum so good.

We all have it and we all know it and we all help each other to live with it.
