Whats On The Box?

I'm liking this thread. Real entertaining. :D

Anglesachse, that Dungeon and Dragon cartoon gave me nightmares for years as a kid. The opening credits starts off with a kid asleep in his bed and his foot or arm is hanging off and he gets sucked under the bed and into another world. Of course, I was only like 4 when I started watching it.

I gotta admit my feel good shows to watch are all the Star Trek shows. There is just something about them. I find leadership, heart, nobility, sex appeal, and so much more. One of the things I've really been paying attention to in rewatching them is how close our technology today mirrors theirs. Flat screen televisions and ipads? Computer AI? The progress and overall plan in 3D television is moving towards a holodeck like approach. Not to mention all the science in the show. Matter/anti-matter and even dark matter? Shoot, the Romulans on ST:TNG used a quantum singularity otherwise known as a black hole to power their ship. I think it was some folks in England that within the past few years were able to create a black hole.

My greatest fascination is the ability for everyone on an entire planet to rise above their differences and achieve the most amazing thing....travel within a galaxy. Pretty cool. The only bad part about any of those shows is that everyone is either a Space equivalent of the Navy or Marines. No more Army or Air Force, I suppose.

I think Seven was only brought in to keep the viewers intrested

Hey Jimmy, how come we ain`t got a "HORNY" Smilie to choose? I think Ned could do with it. Randy old sod LMAO

But I must admit, she did have something..

I don't control that side, but the one I am using is the closest in the moods.

Oh Cats! The wife and I used to finish Capt. "Klerk" (Kirk) lines for him, we watched the re-runs so many times. I think we only had three tv channels at that time. Enjoyed it's metamorphosis over the years and thought the latter Treks were well done. Good special effects. And yes, science fiction does become science fact often. Amazingly so.

Wouldn't mind a transporter right now, "Scotty, beam me to Bahama!". No airports, no crammed aircraft, just jingle, jingle, jingle and your sitting on the beach with a cold beverage and bikinis. And yes, I did watch Seven for other than scientific reasons!! HA!

Oops, sorry. It wasn't the opening credits but one episode. LOL.

That one had to be the Nightmare for all kids. "The monster under the bed" I remember as a nipper, I used to jump into bed from 1 mtr out so he wouldn`t get me LOL. These days I`d drag the f*cker out and beat the crap out of him just because he hadn`t dusted under the bed "Who`s scary now w*nker" kind of thing.
