What's this called? ptsd symptoms returning after absence.

Not to be a smart ass, but at what point in recovery are we just living with the normal ups and downs of life and not necessarily considering the good and bad and our reactions symptomatic? Where’s the endgame for therapy? Where is contentment in this whole thing? Where does human fit into the definition of normal?
