Why Did You Choose That Username And/Or That Avatar (Or No Avatar At All)?

I chose my username because of lack of originality I suppose. I am from Tx and my nickname is Trace.

As for the photo...right now it's a rose. A photo I took several, months after my crash when I was able to get my camera out and do something I love doing.

Photography is a passion and an escape. My avatar will likely change often but will be a photo I took, that for any of a myriad of reasons, make me happy.

I didn't have a problem listing my real name as my user name so there's not much explanation there.

My avatar reminds me of one of the best sayings I've ever heard, I don't know the exact quote but it's something like "If you want to see the rainbow, sometimes you have to deal with the rain". When I see my avatar it just reminds me that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. It may just be a tee tiny speck of light, but it's there. :-)

Deimos is the Greek god of terror. Some cultures will not speak the name of an evil god in fear that it gives it power. I figured if I stole his name then he is powerless. Well that and my dogs are named Athena and Venus so there is a trend going there. I went to Crete for my honeymoon and was fascinated with the ancient culture.

I chose my name and Avitar for the same reason. I wanted people to understand who I was, but at the same time not know who I was.

The name Zipperhead has been used by the Canadian Infantry to refer to Tankers since the start of WW2. No other country actually uses the term that way. So any Canadian Military type that saw one of my posts would recognise what I was, yet the term would probably not mean much to other people. So I made myself identifiable, but in such a way as to be unidentifiable. "It's a Canadian Tanker" not it's Sgt -----------. And the Avitar identifies where I have been. That pig is saying an awful lot really. Proud to be an Infidel. Thier hate can not destroy me. And the fact that it's a pig holding the sign is funny on so many levels.

"wife of ........." was how officers of hubs regiment used to address any wife instead of using the prefix of mrs and for many years whilst following the drum I completely resented it.
I used to insist upon being called Mrs ......... and my poor hubs got fined a few times for my insurrection!
After leaving the forces behind us I was reading a book on the history of those who "Follow the drum" and discovered that during the napoleonic wars the officer ranks used the term "wife of...." to distinguish the difference between the genuine legal wives on company strength and the ragtag assortment of whores and mistresses that also followed the company. Thus it was that I realised it was actualy a sign of respect and by gosh if anyone has earnt the title then I have and I now wear it with pride.

Clair Bear has been a nickname hung in me in highschool in the 80's before most of the awful stuff happened. When I started using it here it was to serve as a reminder that despite how much I've changed because of this stupid thing, part of the old me is still there. 2-26 is my birthdate. I had a white rose avatar for a long time and recently adopted the goose. I got hung with a new nickname that I rather like. Goose - the wingman. Always got your back. And only one person gets to use it- sorry. ;). So now mine is a blend of the person I once was and the person I became.

My middle name is Gry, Dawn in English. Changed my name once to Kimberly but it got to be quit a mess so I changed it back. Wanted to be called Kimberlysince I was 7. Don't know why?

My avatar now is a lion. A tired, yawning lion in a tree. Looks sleepy and cudly, but is leathal. Like me. I change avatars to fit my mood, usualy.

The latest Avatar is simply because I've been in a nostalgic mood. The rabbit in the pic is Dark Bunny. It is one of the first things I repeatedly drew in school.

Well.. Incendiu is fire on romanian. I like folklore and Romanian is full of folklore.. I also love their language so that's why I choosed that language. Fire because thats my element and my hope to become. I have been a ember of ashes but started to grow back to the flame I once was and wish to be again.

My avatar is simply my self. why.. well I think it's about my self standing my ground and say to my self it's okay to be my self and not hide. That's probably why. It's a message to my self.
