New Here
My Husband recently got out of the military in February, I am British he is American, once he got out his PTSD got worse, with the transition to civilian life. We now live 3000+ miles apart after his withdrawal from our relationship, wanting a divorce etc, he has now made the step back towards me, but our future is still uncertain. I am trying the best I can to support him, and has much as it hurts me, the separation, may be the best thing for our Marriage right now, as he does not have to feel the pressure and demands of a family.

I am just so glad i came up on this forum, at last a place where people understand.

Welcome to the forum...

I am glad too that you have found this place. It offers hope, understanding, friendship, and a sense of belonging.

I hope that we can be of help to you and possibly your husband.

hiswife: I was in the Marine Corp during the Gulf War. The things that I saw and had to do should not be done. However if it was not done more of us(Marines) would not have came home. Someone had to die and in the Marine Corp it can not be us. I wish you the best with your husband and please bring him back to peace. In the Corp we are tought that we can not be hurt and to admit we were was weakness. Encourage to seek treatment. Guys have a hard time admitting some thing is broke especially when there is no blood. I have metal in my leg from the War and I can deal with that better than PTSD.
