Even with todays technology there is to much room for error, collatral damage or friendly fire, blue on blue call it what you want.

Nowt worse than loosing mates to a jet jockey from your own side, at least with JTAC the room for error has deminished but when your at alltitude and fast there can only be a certain amount of accuracy.

Airstrikes are the bomb. Artillery has failed, close air support failed, and then out from the south comes a lone Warthog. The gun goes off and the mortars go silent. I was in the army, but greatly appreciated the Airforce that day.

NGFS. Naval Gunfire Support. 16" guns. Don't count on us. We'll blow ourselves up before we blow you up. Ain't that the truth. Veterans day coming up folks. Plan on having a drink for those that did not make it back. Amen.
