Also, I remember when the only video game was Pong and it was SO COOL!

PONG! :hilarious: It was like tennis in slow motion! (Slow-motion like when the Bionic Woman would leap a mountain in a very pro-long-ed second!) I loved it Pong, too.

You might be old school if your mother and/or grandmother (or both) had button boxes or jars (that's where occasionally I'd find the old metal Cracker Jacks prizes). Lord I don't even think people have button jars anymore... a pity really. It was facinating and a simple pleasure.

Yeh, buttons. My mother was such a great seamstress (though not professional). She always took me with her when she perused patterns and bolts of fabric while I played in what seemed like sandboxes full of buttons. Everything like that (fabric, buttons) is so expensive now.

You know you are old school when...

You can remember turning the record over to play the B side.
You can remember your Mum's divvy number (Co-op dividend).
3D cards in cereal packets.
Playing British Bulldog or Red Rover and not getting told off about health and safety.
Taping 'Top of the Pops' in front of the TV with a 'real-to-real' tape and everyone being quiet so your voice wasn't recorded accidentally.
Writing out a time-table and sticking it in the front of your form book - no homework diaries back then.
having a 'Party- line' phone that was shared by 3 families in the street.
Decimalisation.
Oh and so many more.....:eek:

I went to great lengths to recently acquire both a record player (vinyl is the new CD, man) and a rotary dial 'phone, but reel-to-reel is a bit old-school even for me.

All my suits are three-piece and I seal my letters with wax. That's fairly old school, isn't it?

My wife is younger than me, but she's pretty old-school. She owns and operates a spinning wheel and a loom.
