And I feel so violated....but the dr didn't do anything wrong. It was just everything involved. And everything predicted. And I'm so sad now...maybe just blank is a better term

Though one can feel that way regardless of the doctor's gender, does your gyno happen to be male? I would think that choosing a female (if you are able to choose) would lessen the likelihood and intensity of feeling violated.

Thats why at age 35, ive only had two total. The last one i was simi comfortable with a Dr that normally doesnt do one and so i talked him into it doing saying i wont go/do it any other way.

I know it sucks. Try some grounding or distraction technoques til the feeling passes. :hug:

Definitely was a female. And I emailed her last week with the heads up. She was very kind. But now, I'm in a world of, can't begin to explain it. My body feels things, my mind is like a ping pong ball racing from one of us to another with one thought bouncing off each other. In addition, there's the "real" world I must play a part of and right now, and to think I have the entire day, to blend in, seems completely impossible and exhausting.

I know it is extremely difficult to do these check ups with trauma in the mix. I can only suggest that unfortunately they are really essential for your health.

Suffice to say, these check ups may detect terrible illnesses before they become untreatable & save your life. They also give a degree of peace of mind that you can only obtain by having them.

This is not going to make the experience any less difficult, but until researchers release the latest diagnostic tools for blood tests to bypass this type of intrusive examination, there is nothing else that can be done.

Blood tests are coming. But are still being verified as a better way & importantly more accurate way of detecting abnormalities.

I hope this development happens sooner than later.

Not much comfort for your recent examination & your difficulties managing right now, I know. But, just thought I would let you know there is a better way coming.

Ya I have only had one and I totally freaked out and panic the dr made me feel safe with blankets but it wasn't good
