Nope-insurance needed more information to reasoning of test. Ugh-and I have excellent insurance.

Radiologist set up CT scan on area for radiation -next Wednesday. I need 30 rounds however if genetic test is positive than we cancel-.

@Snowflake Well, we will just have to keep fingers crossed that the genetic testing comes back ok. I hate dealing with insurance companies, they can be such dicks about everything!!!!,

Nope- The insurance company just approved the payment. The oncologist canceled my appointment on Friday and said it would be 1 to 2 weeks before the results. They rescheduled the appointment for next Tuesday afternoon if the results are not in then we need to cancel again, as well as cancelling radiologist on Wednesday. All appointments are involved around this lovely test. I submitted my FMLA which my medical doctor filled out and they have five days to approve it or deny it

@Snowflake Well, at least the insurance company approved treatment. That's a plus. I'm sure that things will start by next week. Although you're probably thinking last week wouldn't have been soon enough to start this crap.

Red tape :poop::poop:and the bullshit :poop: that goes with it, isn't fun. It test our patience to the hilt. Try and maintain your composure..... it has to be hard though.:hug:

Had my ct exam today so I can start radiation..... hoping to start in 10 days. However if my genetic test comes back positive then I will need more surgery.

I am concerned about the tamoxifen and the weight gain associated with that - I plan to find out the chance of me getting cancer back by not taking it versus taking it . My depression and my marital issues stem a lot from my self image and my weight if I gain weight what's the purpose of me being here/alive. I am terrified at what could happen.

@Snowflake I knew a woman in her 80's that had a mastectomy and took Tamoxifen for 5 yrs. she was a skinny little thing. Everyone is different, and you may not gain any weight, and you might lose it.
