Anybody Else Have Problem Around Their Birthday?

The EHS abuse I had to endure ended on my birthday and after xmas I almost ended my life, it culminated in a way it brought harm that could follow me my whole life.

So every time my birthday and xmas comes around I have problems coping. This time of year is approaching, while I have already talked about it with my T to be prepared (have an appt right before and right after). I have to wonder how others have coped with similar situations.

Yep and my birthday is in April. Around beginning of Nov to just after early April is a hard time for me. It is sort of like boom, boom, boom...one after the other.

I hope one day i can say they are just dates but right now they are much more then that.

I don't know if they can every just be dates to me, the abuse I suffered was extreme, all 3 forms, and sustained for a year and half, so bad I started disassociating all the time to cope.

@recoveringfromptsd Meant kindly, it's actually a fairly difficult thing to look up. Because of your location & Internet history EHS might immediately pop when you're searching, but as this is a worldwide forum... Unless you want to get quizzed each time you mention EHS, you might just want to provide a link if you're looking for common ground, short explanation, or just shorten it to abuse if the details aren't really necessary. After spending 15-20 minutes trying to figure out what you meant? Nooooo idea what question you asked. And most of the time? A lot of us just don't have it together enough to spend 15-20 minutes reading through old threads, doing google searches, & then reading newspaper articles. All before answering an otherwise short well-written easy to respond to question. Traumatized Brains + Complicated Searches = Problematic for a lot of us. Just a suggestion.
