So last week my therapist asked me to cover each eye one at a time when I start feeling really bad inside or my brain is at odds with itself and see which one feels better uncovered and then to deep breath with the bad one covered (I think that's how she explained it).
So this morning was rough and I got a bit out of control. When I felt more myself but still, highly anxious, I gave it a try and found that I seemed to feel better with my left eye covered.
I know that the brain processes visual input from the opposite side of the brain i.e. left eye is processed by right brain.
For some reason she said it was important for her to know which side felt better uncovered. I did a little reading and found some vague information about eye patch therapy but don't really understand it.
Does this make sense to anybody?
