Blissfully Abiding

How is your dog doing?
He's great! His father is my ex and so sometimes he comes over to give financial or walking support for our "son" so that helps, especially now that I'm often debilitated.

What kind of dog do you have if you don't mind saying? She sounds so lovely.

So cute, shared custody! What kind is yours or what does it look and act like? Going to see if I can post a pic

I am learning forum skills, so I cut and pasted this post from earlier to make sure u saw it, it was a ways back:)

SophiaWisdom,
Great name you have too:)

So glad you said something, not long winded at all, needed to hear from a fellow traveler in PTSD and the world.

Makes sense to stay put part of the time and do the therapy, it is not easy after the travel, freedom bug has bitten!
Amazing where we can go when we don't have to pay rent.

I decided I am going to stay here till August and deal with family stuff and the dog stuff, it is going to be expensive and emotional, Hopefully get that done and August back on the road with her.

Write anytime would love to hear about your travels in the world, and dog, emdr:)

Stopping in to say he. I also find mindfulness really helpful. Would love a doggy friend, we don't have the funds or time right now. Good luck getting through the removal of cigarettes, its not easy but your health is worth it!

Glad u stopped in! So right on the cigs I am at 100 days without, did you ever smoke? Doing Tai chi and low carb since I quit. Is that you in the avatar? Very cool . Yes dogs can get expensive in old age or if anything goes wrong, this is my first dog so I am learning. Wishing you the best :)

[GALLERY=media, 4145]Image by Bliss posted Feb 3, 2017 at 6:28 PM[/GALLERY]Thea is teaching me so much as always. I am reviewing what I I know about dying and grieving, reading other people's thoughts on it, more aware so I am starting to see it all around, which of course it is, I just ignored it. There are many resources to make this a more meaningful transition, honoring all the hard work she and I have done to survive.

Working on creating a new routine for the day, hopefully ingraining activities I can do on the days after she goes. The more I research, practice healthy coping now, the more automatic it will be when she goes. She worked so hard to give me a good life, I want to continue that to the best on my ability while I am grieving for her. This is new to me I know little of how to grieve healthily.

To do
Walmart plaster of Paris for paw print
Pics in diary and blog
Buy essential oil
Order spiritual stuff

Keep making things as simple as possible

Keep reading sites that memorialize dogs, read, register, post to see which one I am most comfortable with, as it will be hard to think after

Need to learn how to post pictures, wondering if they have to go in the media file or if you can just post them on your diary, didn't mean to post those last two.

When I looked at the help tickets on the bottom of them it had an upload file button that went to my pics on iPad, not sure why I can't find it here.:wtf:

I know what you mean about funds - I fostered for years before I got a dog, partially to test out being a rescue mom, but also b/c rescue groups will pay entirely for all the supplies and food so you basically just supply the home and love to foster. And they're so desperate for fosters - it was a win win for me!

AHHHHsoooooooo cute!!!!!!!

So glad we can also not travel together right now lol. Wow yes I hear you - it's daunting to have to stay stuck somewhere I don't want to be.

We're not exactly coparenting lol it's a bit more complicated than that and basically my entire friend group and church is trying to help me move on from him b/c they know it's horrible for me. It's called lack of boundaries and attachment issues from CPTSD and codependency lol ::cry laugh::

I just love when you post photos of your dog. Mine seems to be some kind of wire terrier and maybe dachshund mix. He's medium sized and very quiet. I usually have no idea where he is in the house lol. He's about 50 in human years now and getting white hairs on his face.
