Questions For New T

When deciding to see a new T, what are some questions that you might ask them? My first go in therapy was pretty weak and almost more damaging. I'm hoping for a more positive and productive outcome this time. :coffee:

I find googling "how should I interview a new therapist" very helpful. I pick and choose which questions resonate with me and then take the list with me. Had one person say time was up and I'd have to pay for time for him to answer questions. I didn't go back.

I didn't ask my T any questions, but was referred. I may have asked about her EMDR training.. I can't remember.

I knew pretty quickly that my T was different from other T's I had been to. There have been times I've questioned that, but things can get hard the more you get closer to dealing with things.

I would definitely ask about emergency type situations and if you can contact them.
