What's your favorite game? Any type of game, even playing hide and seek with your kids is "game." (Pun intended).

I have found lately that I look forward to playing games and I want them to be a bigger part of my life. So far I have only been playing them with folks I know. What are your thoughts on that, do you play games with strangers, or only with folks you know?

Also, have you had any bad experiences playing games, I need to know what to steer clear of out there in the gaming world!

Also, if you DON'T play games, please feel free to say why.

Thanks.

Personally I like WORDS WITH FRIENDS on FB. That is my only game so far.

Now, when I was a kid, we used to play Monopoly and Scrabble and Parcheesi, and others on a real board with real game pieces or "men" that we moved along the board. We rolled real dice and shook little cubes with things on them in cups and we had lots of fun on rainy days doing this.

Now, if it was sunny out, we climbed trees, played tag and did all those kinds of fun things, riding our bikes to this place where we could swing on grape vines out over a creek and also there was a kind of dirt maze there that you could ride your bike all around and go up and down and around and it was like a mini-roller-coaster. Then there was this place we would go to called Second Falls where you had to climb down a cliff, cross a stream by walking over a long log and walk a mile or so through the woods, but once you got there it was worth it, because the falls were magnificient and the pond below them was so peaceful and we would bring a snack in our pockets and have picnics there! It was so beautiful and peaceful. I still go there in my mind sometimes these days, when I need a "rest" from the world as it is today.

So board games were only for the days we could not do all that. Still, they were a lot of fun and we loved them! Computers and cell phones didn't exist back then, so all the games available to me these days are totally a new "ball game" for me!

Oh yeh, we used to play tic tack toe (not sure if that is spelled right).

We also had a Scrabble game that you could play in the car on long rides, because the squares had little ridges around them so that the letters fit into them and would not slide when the driver went around a turn or something. Mom would play with us from the front seat even. We would sometimes drive 500 miles in a day in the old family station wagon *(they didn't have SUVs then)! We traveled across the country and back, also Canada too, many a summer! We saw so many beautiful places when we stopped at State and National Parks, but the long rides between these places were boring and Scrabble sure made them a lot more bearable.

I used to play a lot of online games. RPGs mostly. They gave me space for my brain to start healing and provided ambient sociability. I quit a few months ago because I realized I needed to force myself back into the real world.

I've always liked dice games like 'Pass the Pigs'. Dice are so portable.

Since its just me and my dog now games are limited to fetch, fetch and a little more fetch.

Word chums and Upwords online. Only games I play.

@Friday Holy crap, I tried the room and could not for the life of me figure that shit out! Stumped the crap out of me till I deleted it. Solved that issue!!!!!,
