I always wear a necklace that I use for grounding. It has a long rectangular pendant that I like the feel and weight of in my hand, it is hard, sharp and normally warm from my body heat. I got it at the beginning of my therapy sessions and had it engraved with a message that is encouraging to me.

Normally though, with T I sit rigidly still, I cross my legs and fold my arms and rarely move from that position. Gaze is firmly on the floor. I think I know every pair of shoes she has ever worn!
 
I find simple repetitive things helpful. When things are really bad I make paracord bracelets.

That's interesting, because my husband does stuff like polish our cutlery over and over, does the dishes and I on wen he is stressed (even though we have a dish washer) and I used to know another guy who felt he had to do the dishes in a certain order.

By the way @Deadman. It is non of my business and I am sure that you will tell me to stick to my business... but... don't you think a username like that won't help to lift your mood?

I can understand. My sister also feels uncomfortable whenever her usual kinds of stuff are not with her. Sometimes, she throws a fit.

barefoot, thank you for listing all the items you take with you and explaining their use. While I may not need as many items as you do, I am inspired that you're providing yourself with all you need to make the therapy session work well.
