Mate, nothing wrong with an endoscopy. When I was having massive issues, I ended up having cameras put in and up every orifice, endoscopy was the best.
I ended up having a divaticular abscess and had to have some large bowel removed. Divaticulitis, another disease brought on by the military way of life. Hard rations, soft rations, not eating at all. What a way of life.

We'll see how it goes. Don't like the fact I can't drive after but thankfully I got a ride lined up. Maybe they'll finally figure out what's wrong with me.

Combat,
The only difficult part about an endoscopy is the prep before hand...don't let them fool you into giving you the Golytely stuff...a big gallon jug of goo to drink...Ask for the mirilax prep. Much easier on the system, tastes much better, only a small 16 oz beverage instead of a gallon of gross tasting goo and you don't end up throwing up. Make sure you have plenty of warm baby wipes and soft tp on hand. They can also give you a med to take the night before or morning of to help bring down your anxiety. Also, double check your allergies to meds with them before hand, since they are going to relax you...if you have allergies to fentanyl let them know cause it's normally what is used!
Also ask them to use the pediatric scope on you, much smaller in diameter...don't let them fool you it's there since they use the pediatric scope on individuals who've had prior tummy surgeries...

That's the worse tasting stuff invented. It's not the initial taste which is like a week old dead rat; it the after taste which is undescribable. And the person that gave it that name should have to drink it for a week.

It should be called Atomic Rectum Explosive. It usually has enough force to send a Saturn rocket well beyond the orbit of Mars. If you've never taken it, you'll know what I mean after. I'd suggest all of the things T spoke of as well as some good reading material like War and Peace. You'll be in the 'reading room' for a while.

I've had a few colonoscopy's so the clean out part is truly the worst. After that you could probably remove your own gall bladder with a spork. Hang in there Bro.

There were many female soldiers under my command -- all of them accepted the risks of the job just as much as the males.
