I think we all feel like that DM. There's just no understanding it. All you can do is reach out to help people. If they don't want it or are playing a game guess I'll still give it a try.

JarHed, I thanked you, politely. I am not looking for help with the VA. Don't know why it came up. I don't have access to VA facilities. I am diagnosed, but no where to receive treatment here. Just a fact. I haven't made even one "excuse", or "whatever". You can read the posts for yourself. The only one that has tried to answer the question, is JarHed. If you are not providing information, pertinent to the thread, why post? My service is, in fact, in one of the threads. Read it, don't, I can't care. Part of the diagnosis. JarHed, again, thank you, but I don't have a VA to go to. Wagon, you bitch about me, but threaten me, and insult me, without reason, just to get your jollies. I haven't done anything, that would violate a single rule, I have insulted no one. I have refused no assistance, or turned down any information. Not interested in "calling the VA", already have. Still do, but no services here. What, the f*ck, does Norway, have to do with the thread? It's Norway, not USA. Stop bitching, and move back, if it is that important to you. Then why are you here? There are videos here. Book suggestions, advice from many veterans and allot of advice on VA. I don't think you've looked at the site too closely. I did not threaten you.

Quite frankly, if you are so remote that there is no help, looks like it's time to move. VA is not going to airlift help in.

Your service is vague and therefor does not garner trust. If you are paranoid about where you are I think you already blew it. Once you sign up to something well, there is the e-mail and it's only a matter of time to get to the person.

There is privacy...and then there is just plain paranoia.

The VA has travel expenses compensation if your more than 30 miles away from the closest VA. You have to fill out a form of course, nothing is just handed out. I fill one out every time I go to the Fresno VA Hospital, and the Tulare VA Clinic. They pay just for gas because they are less than an hour away. You have to have a scheduled appointment, or ER visit to get any $$. If you call the VA, you might even find out they offer compensation for room and board (food) you pay for as a direct result of the visit, I'm not positive on that one, but pretty sure.

SO... what's your excuse now?

Barberian, you asked a question, so, I will answer. I have also filled out the forms, and have not received one cent, in travel compensation. Not once, and I do, indeed qualify for it. I do not, and have not receive it. It is one thing that I am dealing with, as far as the VA. Right now, I cannot get the VA to schedule appointments, not at all. According to the lady responsible for the scheduling, she just doesn't want to. I have no idea, as to why. There are services closer, than the nearest VAMC, I have found them, but still cannot get scheduled to see them. The patient advocate is incommunicado. We don't have any reps, or service officers, still looking, though. Angelsachse, already done, and still don't have services. Why didn't you read the first post? It is honest. Don't need an excuse. Don't lie, do not need to. If you just want to flame, why post in this thread? I have asked a question, that does not have anything to do, with VA services, why not answer the question? Privacy is privacy, and is not subject to your judgement.

have any of you, found a way to cope with the crazies? What do you do, to prevent going nuts?

I work on my marriage, take my medications, work on mindfulness (staying in the present), work with my service dog in training, try to go out of the house when I can handle it, avoid triggers if I can when I can't handle them, work every day to be stronger than the day before, rest and recuperate when I need it.

Well... I give up. I've never had any of the problems you seem to be having. I don't have any advice other than - Everyone in the VA has a boss, use the chain of command, or write your elected officials to help you.

Your case seems extraordinary. Several people in this thread have offered advice and tried to help you, but you aren't listening, or seem to have insurmountable obstacles that no one else has. Leads me to believe that your just a troll trying to stir the pot or are not ready to try and recover, simply hiding behind the pain and crying without wanting to actually do anything to help in your recovery.

This is my last post to you, don't bother responding to me, I'm not going to read this thread anymore.

I don't happen to think so DM. Just someone in need of help.

But if you're here a while you will absolutely see them. The whys and wherefores are inexplicable. There's just no explaining it.
