...Ah, maybe it's just me but I have PTSD, not "the crazies". PTSD is an anxiety disorder. "Crazies" is who knows...

Here's the bottomline Bob: back to what Sarg wrote, life is full of stress. PTSD gives you less room to deal with normal life stress as noted in the Nic Fothergill video (why I referred you to it.) "Crazy" and "Insane" are not the issue. No matter how it might feel like that to you, that is not it, -IF- you have PTSD, which is why some folks here are speculating. If you are truly "crazy" than there is another complication, which is common.
Just a couple: many folks were in combat that already had issues, not PTSD; Many women assaulted, even raped in the military that have PTSD demons but not combat PTSD; Many folks had horrible childhood drama that caused PTSD but it was not combat related, they just happened to go into combat and may have stayed to develop combat PTSD or not.
If PTSD was a "crazy/insane" issue than you would not be able to get and hold a Top Secret security clearance and/or the investigators would be able to deny you that upon a diagnosis of PTSD, but they can't, BY LAW! They cannot even pursue the question, once you mention PTSD. They can only pursue crimes, violation off law, that you did because of bad decisions, poor chacrater, maybe because you ran out of coping mechanisms. PTSD doesn't do that, a person makes that decision. PTSD just has put us all in a position whereby we have less room for error, under normal circumstances.
So, although many of us make fun of it, we realize the difference. And we want to really destroy a STIGMA, which includes being "crazy" because that is incorrect as Sarg noted. You have valid struggles/problems like everyone else, which is why they're reacting this way. In every group I've been in there is a person who is so shut down there is nothing we can say to get a positive result. So eventually we don't. This forum operates like a therapy group which is driving the responses, online is the worse form of communication so it is raw. If you were in a VA group right now, the folks in the room would likely not be offering you any more options.
You haven't given enough symptoms or circumstances for anyone to offer solid advice. PTSD has common traits and common solutions. We all know them and see them across the board. Crazy folks with more than PTSD eventually go to a Pysch ward. Folks that chose denial, self medicate and become homeless & crazy (maybe). Those of us that have been in a Pysch ward have seen the difference and we know we are not crazy from PTSD. My pysch ward guards were in the National Guard and sheltered me (after seeing my mil ID) because the difference was obvious (they do it everyday) and they considered me family, cause I didn't act crazy.
Sorry, this is so long but this it is my last effort to try and connect the dots for you to why you are getting the reaction you see from the team. One of the best cures for this combat problem is a combat solution = MOTIVATION, a bitch but also what we lived off of in the military team atmosphere. We all kept each other in check. Our buddy would call BS. The folks here aren't being personal. They're pushing motivation because there is no other option at this point. You have literally become the guy in group we cannot help.
This is my perspective and my opinion. Everyone has a different perspective. It is a law of life. We all bring something different to the table. Not sure anyone else has anything left to serve you?
I'm sorry
