I feel I've won one on behalf of all victims out there. My attacker was found guilty, and in fact it turned out he had assaulted a second woman, too. His punishment is a complete joke, as is generally the case in the Netherlands, but at least the verdict was just.

That's wonderful, LanaD! I agree that the justice system in our country is pathetic, but it's great that at least what that bastard did will be on his criminal record for the rest of his life! I'm really happy for you.

Thanks! It just makes me feel good for having done what I could to hopefully prevent the same happening to someone else. I don't fear the perpetrator but I feel less and less safe in my city (and in this country to be honest), which is why I've decided to go away from here for a while. The Netherlands coddles and (financially, with my tax money) supports criminals. I'm starting to f*cking hate this country.
