@Justmehere These missile strikes are not US led, they are British and French led. The British and the French were quacking for a military response even before we knew who was responsible for the gas attack. Its just as I thought, the British and the French are trying to drag us into this crap. It is interesting that the British and the French had their warships of their small navies in the Eastern Mediterranean at the time of, or just after the gas attack. Very suspicious. No, this is a Euro led knee jerk reaction. Nice. Hopefully it won't lead to WW III. :D

Given that Trump’s immediate reaction to the chemical attack earlier in the week was to threaten imminent smart missile attacks to retaliate against the Assad regime, I think it’s fair to say that this latest attack is as much led by Trump as any of the allied countries.

The British and the French were there ( in the Eastern Mediterranean ) first. We had only one destroyer in the Eastern Mediterranean. The British and the French have been clammering for war from day one. We are trying to keep them (the British and the French) from having their ass handed to them by the Russians. Like I said the Europeans are escalating this BS to very dangerous levels. We should let them spill their own blood. We did not want this. Trump announced that we were leaving the area when all this BS started. I am telling you they are dragging us into this war, the chicken hawks. :D

To be fair, that's been true since 2011. Sort of. Arab Spring thing gone very wrong. It got less tense for a while... I am nervous about the recent stuff.

I studied this once. Immediately became a biologist. Syria is too complicated. Not to be mean, but I seriously doubt Trump fully understands what's even happening, because the "experts" (wherever your definition of that is) sure don't.

I agree that chemical weapons shouldn't be used (especially against children, civilians, or your own country in general) but I wish there could have been a less shocking alternative. But the people in charge probably don't care about what makes me nervous...? Unless I vote them out, I guess. Because America and stuff. Sort of beside the point though

We have a moral duty to step in and help the people of Syria against chemical attack by their own government. 6 million Jews were gassed before we could stop Hitler. How many Syrian children needlessly die because Assad has the backing of Russia and Iran? We cower in our duty to protect innocent people bc we *think* it might effectively hurt us? It's like allowing the bully to beat up the mentally challenged kid on the school play ground. It isn't who we are as Americans. 500,000 Syrians have died under the Assad regime. The last 9 years our political view has been, "let them work it out" and they haven't worked it out. Instead, they continue to produce chemical warfare that is funneled to Russia and Iran...

No we do not have a moral duty to "step in" and start WW III. That is BS of the highest order. The US is not the world's policeman. We can thank ISIS (mostly non Syrians) for 500,000 dead Syrians. The vast majority of Syrians support Assad. Most of those Syrian children killed, were killed by ISIS. If you want to spill some blood in Syria I suggest that you go join (step in) the French Foreign Legion. I hear that they are hiring. :D

And what did trump do? I saw a carpet style bombing run on a city. The blast radius was fairly wide and I saw no strategic missile strike.
