Any experience with pregabalin (lyrica)?

Hey this is great to hear (for your own sake) and reassuring to hear (for mine) :). Thanks for sharing...
@bellbird She had to increase my dose a few times, so maybe a week before I noticed it, and it got better with time. In the US insurance companies can give psychiatrists a hard time if they prescribe it for anything other than fibromialgia or pain. My doctor said that she would probably have to say that is what I had, but because I'd been on gabapentin for 9 years they didn't even ask and approved it right away.

Good to know @Angelwings . From memory when I took gabapentin, my doctor had to apply for special permission (which was approved).
I'm hoping because I'd be taking this for both a neurological disorder and anxiety, if any special permission needed to be applied for again, it'd be a similar story.
But I'll wait and see. My appointment in 10 days can't come soon enough... I know that this might not end up helping me (90% of drugs tend to not)... But this feeling of *hope* is so different from my every day normal, I'm enjoying it for what it's worth in the meantime :)

@bellbird I had intense anxiety for years. I still had it when I was on gabapentin. When she took me off of gabapentin I went into withdrawals from it, and had crazy anxiety, so we started the lyrica early, and after a few days of adjusting the dose my anxiety dropped, now I have none. It's amazing and I hope it does work for you. Nothing else worked for me.
