I've seen an Angel I believe is Gabriel at one occasion in my life and it changed my view of them.
It came for my protection while difficult times in my life dealing with some dangerous issues. I remember it clearly emerging in a corridor with gates where it let its light shine on me to unable demons that shared the same entrance. The light literally blew through me and all it said was pure love.

I would be happy if you wanted to share your own experiences to the extent you feel comfortable with it.
I became Christians myself later in life and still believe in Christ and God even though I discovered Buddhism.
I doubt I'm the only believer.

Sincerely
/backslide

I am spiritual, not religious, also incorporate Buddhism and Toltec healing, or anything else that 'feels' right.

I don't know that I have ever seen an angel. Pretty sure if I did , I would have remembered.

But have had many experiences of pure calmness that I know I'm incapable of doing on my own. A lifting of huge weights coming off my soul and heart. I do pray. I do ask for help. I do gratitude all the time. Regardless of how bad things get.

I've had 'awakenings', like something lifted from my eyes and thinking, to see and experience things differently. Good differently. Things I feel I never would have thought of, ever.

I do believe in angels. There are many here on this site, to me anyway.

I hope others feel confident to share. I do believe in miracles. We are still alive searching for our truth. Great thread. Thanks for starting it.

I’ve never seen an angel, but call them and they will come! I can feel their presence. (There is one I call on in particular, but at times I call on all archangels.)

I talk to angels more than I pray to god.

All the different beliefs/names/labels only serve to confuse me more than provide clarity/peace/comfort, so I usually avoid them. Language trips up a lot of stuff along this existence, too, it seems, often more than anything else. lol

I feel my experiences of angels have arrived in human and animal form mostly, but there's a definite energetic undercurrent that seems to sync right up and branch out to damn near everything and every cell at times, especially when I make time for some of my favorite rituals and such, so it's hard to narrow it all down to specifics, at least in my head space it is.

However, I used to not be very mindful of such, nor ever gave it much thought as I'd been convinced I was already doomed to a hellish demise, so why bother, but have since grown to appreciate each and every experience and connection.

It feels like a good space to be in, finally listening from an inward cellular level outward rather than continually weighing down my own being with heavy stuff and the expectations of self and others while trying to figure out "the" supposed way as it was taught/ingrained/beaten into my subconscious as a child.

As usual, damn near everything that has benefited my body/mind/soul the most has been the exact opposite of what I'd been taught and largely lived most of my life. The fun and fascinating discoveries never end and it feels like I have my child-like sense of wonder finally restored from when it got snatched away. Yay! Bring on more angles/angels. :)

There have been many times in my life when I should have come into danger and did not, too many to list. Suffice it to say that I do definitely believe in them and the miracles they can perform. I believe they are from God and do His bidding. They can bring messages from God and they can keep people safe, protect them from danger.

Don't get me started. :sneaky:

(Actually, more thinking of pretending people, than angels angels. But I liked studying this stuff while in school / for writing / for faith discussions differences and the like.)

That said? I still don't want one within a 10ft near me. But my view of angels is wee bit Old Testamenty and the like. Not fluff huggers one would go for comfort to. God's faithful soldiers when He needs the work done? More like.

Humans are not Angels, but I understand your language.
Maybe one day will see a real one and you will know the difference...

@SpiritSong has described them well.
There's a difference between spirits and Angels, but I'm happy for your progress and your well-being.

Yes they really do. The latest message I got was the numbers 333 in a dream I read at willowsoul com:
"4 Reasons Why You Are Seeing 3:33 – The Meaning of 333".
Delightful and very good news after all these ten hellish years of pure suffering.

Supernatural beings can't be studied they need to be experienced and when you do you will also know about God's work, plan and purpose behind some actions. But for this you need other and higher frequencies than you are used to, in other words be baptized and initiated. A long and complicated story short, you must know God well before you try.

At the risk of sounding foolish, I will share my experience of angels; They appear to me in the form of light in extremely vivid dreams. Often to protect me, sometimes to direct me, and other times to teach me.

Always, the dreams are intense. They seem more real than waking reality. Angels communicate without using words, like mental telepathy. The meeting is almost always highly personal; as they are usually helping me with subjects such as; abuse, fear, death, darkness and of course, love and healing.

These "dreams" don't happen very often, but when they do they almost always have a profound affect on me.

This is what is 'real' for me, I do not propose to push my beliefs on others.

Congratulations, that's definitely an angel. I've also seen them like that even if it wasn't quite as intense as the time when it showed its face to me. You have nothing to be ashamed of, you should rather rejoice your heavenly guardians.

I got names of several, but have not seem them like I saw Gabriel.
Zadkiel and Haniel among others and a Principality I believe was Amael for a very special purpose I can't tell.

We can hopefully agree to disagree here with this. You asked for our experiences. Not for you to say that my interpretations of 'angels' in real life is not how it is. Apples and Oranges.

I will read this thread as it is interesting to read others experiences. but won't be commenting.

That's fine @ladee I don't own the truth, but I have my understanding pretty clear to me.

Not quite true.

Other traditions have angels as well, without the Christian understanding of it. (Vodun with angels as a part of ones soul slash overseers of actions, and guides toward succesful life path, Islam with angels as messengers of God steering one toward the right life), not even starting on angel type beings in other traditions that are not specifically angelnamed.

It would be kind if you did not presume the spiritual needs, much less musts, of others, as it not only is not generally applicable, it makes little sense from comparative religions angle as well.
