Unfortunately no, because I’m in Australia.

There are threads on some of the hospitals in the US if you do a search, because members often are looking for feedback on particular facilities. If you can’t find any threads on the hospital you’re after, perhaps start a new thread asking for feedback - putting the facility’s name in the title should get you insight from members who have been there:)

Were you allowed to go outside?

Going outside was a privilege, so you couldn’t go outside right away. In one hospital, you couldn’t go outside until you were at the top level, but by that time you were only a few days away from discharge anyway. One of my local hospitals (that I refuse to go to) has zero outdoor space, so you’re inside for your whole stay.

Most hospitals around me don’t allow any smoking whatsoever. You can see employees smoking on the side of the road just off hospital grounds, during their break.

Thank you!! Ouch, I don’t like that. I have agoraphobia so not being able to go outside, forget smoking, sounds like a nightmare. But thanks for telling me, I’ll be asking my pdoc about that ??
