This is from February, so a little outdated, but a good summary of things I’ve been saying/thinking the entire time in regards to mortality rates of COVID-19.

Why the Silent Spread of Coronavirus Might Actually Be a Good Sign

Now, obviously, high percentages of silent carriers makes it more dangerous for high risk groups- hence all the preventive measures that are really needed to “flatten the curve” as to not overwhelm our hospitals (as has happened in Italy).

Here in Hawaii we’re currently not testing anyone who’s not showing severe symptoms... (yep, facepalm)

^Same here. I mean I can see why because who wants to go face the crowds??! But my kids are urging me to see if it's just a rumour or really true. Oh boy it's going to be a long and lonely Winter for me here.

My army guy is just like this bog blast him. : ) He calls me when he needs something. He was the easiest most loveable kid. It didn’t translate that well though into adulthood.
He got back to me yesterday, global pandemic rises to the lever of getting a text out of him. : )

Well...

I usually order my groceries on Amazon Prime Now. Delivered to your door within the hour for $5, or within 2 hours for free... or choose your free delivery 2 hour window (8am-midnight) at any time over the next 2 days.

They’ve been completely out of delivery slots for days, now, and it’s expected to get worse. As the only human contact is if you’ve ordered booze & need to show ID, it’s become the hottest ticket around.

I can’t quite get to this. I upgraded my iOS so I could get the bjs app. This will let me order my non perishable items and pick them up in the store . I have amazon prime.
I think it’s a hunter gatherer man thing? Or just a keep busy activity thing? I can’t give up that part of my reason for existing. I’m getting there though .

I’m shifting back and forth. What else is new? Right now I’m thinking politics and hysteria more than actual illness. But by the end of the day who knows?

I’m thinking someone hit the reset button. When the computer comes back after a hard reboot it’s the same but it’s running better usually. It needs to be done from time to time.

We will see! It is nice the discussion is so lively, it’s a good source of info and a pleasant distraction.

I’m not at all worried about getting sick. I didn’t watch the YouTube vids on it last night, but I saw in the feed the president warned people to stop panic buying and hoarding.

I found a really good app called Pluto Tv that works on all my devices and has lots of free channels (with ads) and live streaming tv and movies and it’s legal. Try it!

I feel good this morning. So far they are keeping My daughters programs open . They are concerned about continuity for the handicapped. I am very grateful. They are all giving of themselves all the people who work with our daughters and help us. They don’t get paid much. It’s nice that they make people who are really disadvantaged and often overlooked a higher priority.

One of my girls can get very difficult. She is 5’ 10” 170 lbs and she means business.

So, I’m ok right now. Hoping you guys are ok!

Is this easy to do? I want to order groceries for my elderly aunt who lives 4 hours away. She has chronic respiratory problems and I don’t want her going to the grocery store, Walmart, etc

USUALLY it’s absolutely brilliant. We were a trial city, so it’s been in use for... 4 years?... here, now. AmazonFresh is/was terrible. And insanely expensive. But PrimeNow uses shoppers at local grocery stores, drug stores, etc., and then drivers zoomzoom directly to you. Or wherever. I’ve had food & sundries delivered to my hospital room, places I’m visiting, friends with new babies... love it. The app is incredibly versatile/user friendly. You pick out exactly what you want, the price is the same as in store / including sales, & voila. It arrives at your door in an hour or two. Usually.

Right now, though, it’s like trying to be the winning caller on the radio.

Lol...I’ve spent too many years surviving solely off of what I could catch. And too many months eating once a week, if that, because no food, and no way to get any. I’m fairly certain heaven involves some form of Room Service.

I will try it I know I’m resisting partially because I get tweaked when they screw up. I order quite a bit of amazon and it’s always a screw up, (not always) and I have to call them and get transferred to the states because trying to talk to customer service in the Manilla is way too much for me. But it’s probably time to try it.

It didn't take long!!

Scammers are sending out texts to people pretending to be from the government.

Telling recipients to click on the link to find out details of where they must go to get test for covid19.

Instead the link is a phishing/malware program that downloads onto the phone or device and goes to the recipients banking details to try and breach accounts.

Be aware ppl. :(
