We will also have more police presence and police patrolling to make sure people abide by the new regulations. It also seems like our airports will be shut down after all except for a small number of residents traveling back. Not official yet, but in the making. Everything county is being closed starting Monday.

My f*cking neighbors across from me are sitting outside (5 of them), playing music, BBQing (or at least when I got home I smelled BBQ) and are still out there drinking beers. Wouldn't care if this was not in the time of a pandemic that is going to last at least months. Social distancing people! Social god damn distance! Please!

When you have a hurricane, the stations run out of gas because the roads are impassible etc. And people panic buy too.

Oh, I know. Usually we run out of gas because of the possible need of leaving and driving away from the hurricane and the possible need to go further then a tank will take you. Also, the need to run generators due to the possibilty, and likelyhood, of being out of power for up to a few weeks. Hurricane Irma was only a Cat 3 here and knocked some people out of power for 3 weeks. So, I get it then. But, due to running out of food and toliet paper (two things I dont get) and the panic buying of gas that every Floridian does when there is a hurricane, it worries me.

Then I think about those not leaving the house. Our traffic has cut down around 80%. It used to take me 30 to 45 mins to drive home from work, 5.5 miles away, on a week day at 5:15pm but now takes me the normal, without traffic, 10 to 15 mins. There are so few cars going anywhere that the fear of running out of gas is not rational. So, I'm trying to remind myself that there are so few people driving around and needing to drive around that the likelyhood of running out of gas is so nil that it doesn't make the charts. I guess its just a floridian type of worry. Plus, PTSD anxiety, panic, and fear, I guess.

There seems to be maybe just a cup, maybe 2 left in that bleach container but it will last for a while only using 4 teaspoons (or 4 and a half) at a time. And a quart will last a while. I can spray that everyday and it will last a while. So, got me some disinfectant. Yay!

^I'm thinking you now live alone? Apart from normal cleaning routines - what are you needing to disinfect so frequently? I live alone & living with ones own germs is ok - I think??

If you keep it at least half full, that's one less thing to worry about.

^My advice when it comes to buying petrol is to drive on a full tank. Leave 15 mins earlier each day & fill that tank daily. Then that's a concern you will no longer have if you must have petrol. I don't so I've not filled up my tank in the last two weeks. But then again, I'm not allowed to go anywhere.

Our PM has just banned non-essential travel for the entire country - immediately. There will be exemptions but not many.

Do you have a thermometer?
I am already sick - fever already. Doc says I'm an assumed positive at this point. They have no tests and my exposure high enough, and while I was on immunosuppressants. It's actually a situation where it kind of would be good news if I have it. The more scary reality at this point would be if I do not have it. Because I have had confirmed close contact and exposure to multiple confirmed cases for extended periods of time while on immunosuppressants... so if I do not have it, I am high risk for coming down with it in the coming days on top of whatever I have now. After the last notice, I have reached out for mental health support.

Well, there is external door handles to my apartment and then things like picking up dog shit and going to the bathroom. I have to turn on the faucet with my hands so then after I wash my hands I feel those are dirty now.

Probably being too paranoid but also at high risk due to my health so just doing everything I can to not get it.

I hear it predicted that we will all get it at some point but that the healthcare system wants to stretch that out in longer stretches so we don't overload the healthcare system. Thus social distancing. But, still doing my part to try to stay disinfected and not cause myself anymore health issues.

My lungs are distoryed due to a past huffing addiction. Keyboard duster. And now, anytime I get sick, it goes straight to my lungs and I get pnuemonia. Have had pnuemonia twice inside of a year for that exact reason. It took my lungs 3 months to recover from thyroid surgery and had to use a nebulizer 3 times a day for 3 months. So, my concern of what will happen if (or when?) I get Covid-19. So, paranoia mixed with concern due to my health mixed with PTSD panic and all make each other worse.

^The door handles - yes I get that. The doggy doo - use a plastic bag or a dedicated pair of rubber gloves - either way your doggy do most likely doesn't have covid19. Going to the bathroom? Use good old ordinary soap. You'll make your skin break down if you use it on your skin. Remember you're protecting yourself from sources outside of your control. Public ppl & places. Inside your home, go easy on the bleach wash because imo it's not necessary & uses up your supplies.

I'm immunosuppressed - so must be extra vigilant too. Though I'm much more fortunate in that I don't have to go out to work right now. :)

I do use a plastic bag for the dog doo. And I do wash my hands after (ETA: as well as after using the bathroom. Talking about touching the faucet before my hands are washed to turn them on then having to touch it to turn it off). I forgot to mention I am still working outside of the home and if I bring home Covid-19, I want to kill it. Not using it a ton. Not even using it everyday (until today anyway). Just having it to be able to use it makes me feel better. You can't really over disinfect as far as I am aware. And will make the bleach last until I can get more.

I’m not sure what’s happening with our grocery delivery tomorrow- the slot is confirmed- but they sent an email saying most of the stuff we ordered ( and in fact it’s the wrong list, my list before last) is unavailable). I’m not worried whether I get stuff or not just yet. Usually you can log on to edit up until the night before, so I logged on to check this morning and that was out of the window- It said that I’d have had to edit before the weekend ( I wish I had known!). So I have no idea what is coming now, if anything! My regular booked slot is Friday, so I will see what happens tomorrow and hopefully sort things out after that. We are really ok still.

Supermarkets I am told am limiting people to two of each item. This has some sense but is being applied indiscriminately. My best friend was only allowed two tiny tins of cat food ( one meal for one cat - all her fussy cat eats). For her three cats. This obviously does not reduce social distancing because she will have to go to a store every day to buy cat food- and more than one store if she is to feed all her cats . Another friend told me they are having trouble getting dog food.

We always buy these things in fairly sizeable amounts and thankfully had just done an order a couple of weeks ago- we are ok for a while.

The grant for employed people doesn’t apply to my husband either sadly - and it looks like redundancies are happening despite best efforts . :(.
