My therapist uses Zoom but I decided to just do a phone call. Will have to warn him next session.
My primary care used Skype.

So I'm getting a bit 'cabin fever' again. During the time I could have been out I went out only to the bank in a rush, because repairmen was supposed to come today. He didn't. Now he's coming tomorrow morning and I also need to go to the store tomorrow morning at some point.
They decided to make a 'no going out' time from Saturday 13pm to Monday at 5am. I mean, not that we had a lot more freedom before, but I was already feeling a bit claustrofobic and this hits a nerve. As long as I manage to get food and be home for the repairman tomorrow I'll take this better, but today it's not feeling great. Well, at least I have 2 ballet classes within that time period, that's something.
I know there are bigger problems with this than just depression or anxiety, so I'm sorry. Just a tough day.

Greetings from Michigan. I hope everyone is coping ok and feeling healthy.
There have been many changes here this week. We have 10,791 positive cases and 471 deaths. They haven't reported the number of recovered cases in a few days. (Jerks!!)
The Governor cancelled the rest of the school year. Everyone is scrambling to come up with some kind of plan to continue their education. Some teachers are teaching their classes online. A friend of ours is a music teacher and she has set up a few of her "celebrity" music friends to teach and play with her students, online.
Another friend is working as a foreman at Cobo Arena where they are setting up a hospital. His crew is in charge of piping oxygen to the 2nd floor for 600 beds. Another 650 beds are being setup for recovery in a separate area. It looks surreal. Hundreds of little cubicles. Row upon row. It's amazing what they have accomplished in 3 days. Hundreds of people are working around the clock. I saw AC/DC, The Beastie Boys, Alice Cooper etc. there as a teen, it's a symbol of my youth. Now this. It's crazy!
It took me 7 days to finally process my unemployment claim. The system is overloaded. The Governor has also issued an additional $600 a week per person. If, and I say IF this happens I'll make more money being laid off.
We are on a shelter in place order. Ha. This is not happening so one city (Flint, you may have heard about their water. ?) has had a curfew put in place. And there is a Statewide fine up to a $1,000 if you don't follow the instructions. 6ft. distance. No groups of 5 or more people. Essential workers only. As of now the parks are still open but there isn't many people in them. The people I know are sticking around the house, walking and riding bikes. Yard work... Food and home improvement stores are open. Restaurants are doing curbside orders and delivery. I don't get it. At all. Shelter in place but feel free to go get a Big Mac. Eh. Stupid is as stupid does. I don't think it will be long before we're all placed on a curfew and they will probably extend the shutdown.
I don't know anyone who is or was positive for the virus. I do know people who were/are sick with mild symptoms. My young healthy 23yo niece had a fever for 9 days was short of breath and had other flu symptoms. My dad, in Florida was really sick the whole month of February. Two doctor visits and two rounds of antibiotics. This was right before all hell broke loose. They don't want you going to the hospital unless you're having trouble breathing. Hospitals have testing sites in the parking lots. Do you know anyone who is or was sick?
They are taking volunteers, asking medically trained people to step up. Veterans, Doctors, nurses to come out of retirement. I may have to look into this as I have a medical background. Our healthcare workers and their families are really taking a toll.
I keep looking for the helpers. People cooking for their neighbors. Companies donating PPE and cleaning supplies. Restaurants feeding our health care workers. Masks being made and donated by the boat load. Families bonding. Children calling parents and grandparents daily. People donating to food pantries. Employers paying wages for their part time workers. I can't say enough about Ford and GM. Humans can be amazing!
I'm sticking to the house and so thankful we live on this little man made "lake". It's saving our sanity!

Oh, and they set up a wing at the VA hospital to treat our first responders and police officers with covid.

here we are looking at a peak that will fall 2 weeks or so behind our neighbors in Washington so there may be supplies and experienced health care available when we need them. The current rate of transmission is alarming, new cases showing up in higher numbers daily. Schools are closed, but work continues at most factories that I know of including where I work but I am home, and not working from home yet. I go in at night when the cleaning crew has recently been in and no one is there to social distance from so I am good. A few hours here, a few hours there, doing things that I alone have the skills for. It is a scary thing to be out and about, my county borders two of the hardest hit but we are fairly rural and our cases are much lower, still the traffic is almost non existant because we are on a state wide stay home stay safe order from our governor.
Construction workers are being told to stay apart and they do mostly but there are jobs (lifting, plumbing, bucket lifts, etc.) where two people close together is the only way to do the job and they are getting photographed on cell phones and turned into the state who then sends out an inspector and fines them heavily. I have to wonder if those state inspectors drive out in seperate vehichles or have one ride in the cab and one in the bed or trunk maybe?
We are as safe as we wanna be, but if everyone keeps flaunting the rules and getting caught we will be as safe as we hafta be, and the difference between voluntary stay at home and mandatory stay at home will be the biggest impact on a citizen that didn't lose a parent or grandparent but did miss a few paychecks. The political and economic damage will last years here.

Yea. I know alot of someone's who know someone... A few of my sister's coworkers are positive. One is in bad shape and in the hospital. Sister is fine as she's been working from home. J has a coworker who hasn't been back since he went on vacation to Florida. It seems he picked the virus up there.

I haven't been tested because of testing shortage but I had direct contact with two people (my landlords) who have covid and I am now sick. My doctor says everything indicates I have it.
There is at least 1 other person on this site who has it
