The intent for me is to garnish more participation... so competitions based around this theme.
Quality is still quality, participation comes in many forms... we have general areas, we have more focused, quality areas. Quality remains in quality... chit chat remains in chit chat areas. This is why I say... rules will apply and people can be evicted from competitions if any form of unfair or less than acceptable type behaviour takes place.
I have been on forums where they have prizes for reaching x posts, and many get disqualified for starting to post total BS or one liners, hey's and such... which automatically disqualify.
Yes... 10,000 posts may be a bit high... but I am not just talking short term, but longer term as well. A mixup of now and goals.
Keep them coming... plenty of ideas and aspects coming out already, which is what I want to hear.
The store... that will likely close, as it doesn't get used. People wanted it, but then didn't use it, so it will die a natural death I think, which is why I have not hooked it back up to here. So far the store hasn't even made back the cost for it to be open from the small margin on each product... which lets face it, cafepress and such stores are seriously over-priced, which is why the lack of sales. They are for novelty occasions, not everyday buying. I tried it, but it doesn't work... account upgrades work for bringing in funding to the site in conjunction with donations.
