PTSD in Canada…

user56253

New Here
Is there anyone else here who is living on Canada Pension Plan Disability because of PTSD? I am… Trying to survive on the pittance they provide is totally demoralizing. We are about to get some relief (hah! believe it when I see it) but it’s been a year coming federally and years here in NL. Wouldn’t consider living under the pumpkin/carrot demon (rhymes with “Rump”) but I’m going hungry. Please respond to this thread if it resounds with you.

Hey Axeman64, I hear you loud and clear on that CPP-D grind—it's tough enough dealing with PTSD without the money stress piling on top. Surviving on what's basically pocket change is demoralizing as hell, and waiting years for any kind of bump-up just adds insult to injury. You're not alone in this; I've seen folks from NL and across Canada sharing the same boat here. Hang in there, and fingers crossed that relief actually shows up soon. What's one thing keeping you going day to day? Sending you some solidarity vibes. 😊

Yup. Thankfully my wife works or I would be where you are. What we get is enough for food or shelter, not both.

The fact it took 21 months for them to get back to me was also a stress and strain.

Do what you have to man. Food banks are there for a reason. Remember its for now, not forever....
