Phone phobia

Well I was able to call someone last night... I called veiled. It was totally a fluke, I happened to see her online and then asked for her phone number, meaning for future calls, NOT for last night... err. But she kept bugging me to call and finally I did it! I feel kind of weird about it now but I did do it, and it went all right I guess. And she was happy so I'm glad since it is her birthday today.

Bloody nice job Evie.... so when do I get mine? I know you can do it... I'm not scary, more like a big pussy cat if you ask those that know me well.

I told her you were a hoot and since I had her there... LOL yes I did push it as I wanted her to see after the rings and talking it was not so bad and we had a nice normal conversation. I was able to chat with a friend as I strolled into down town with no weapons or dogs. So it was win win. If it kills my cell bill much worth it as it was a big step for you Evie!! Big pats on the back!

And again I told her you were wonderful to talk to. I know I much enjoy our chats. I hope you will be getting yours soon. Down side of chatting with you is you end up wanting to give ya a hug and my arms are not that long :)

Thank you for pushing her Veiled, I appreciate it. We were so delighted to hear at breakfast that she had called you! Next is Anthony, hopefully. But regardless I am extremely proud of her!

I have extreme phone phobia...
if people want to contact me (for any reason)
they know to just email it.
I don't answer my phone,
and if I"m lucky I might check the voice mail every second day or so.

LOL, I just realized that it was my birthday yesterday...
and I wasn't even on the phone once!
I only call when absolutly necessary.
(and batgirl... my boyfriend makes alot of calls for me too)

Thanks everyone for the compliments about me calling veiled. Yes it was a very huge step for me and I am glad I did it. I feel strange about it now still, but that happens anytime I step out of my comfort zone. I hope to make more calls in the near future!

I understand how you feel YA. Totally! I much prefer email or PMs myself. I can collect my thoughts a lot better on the computer screen or even paper. And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who gets others to make phone calls for them, thanks for sharing that.

I just remembered something:

Luposlipaphobia — the fear of being pursued by timber wolves around a kitchen table while wearing socks on a newly-waxed floor

Just goes to show that there's a phobia for everything, I bet a phone phobia doesn't seem so odd anymore :-)

I can totally relate to this. My home phone is hooked up to a machine and my cellphone has voicemail. I do not answer either one. I check the messages and may return a call if it is important. But like YoungAndAngry, if you want my attention, email me.

Agreed, well done. She has that calling card with her now Anthony, so we're hoping she'll call you while she's in hospital.

Jim.
