Have you found a job yet? <as asked by people who know I'm on disability....>

Uhm, no. Not working for another year, probably longer in this economy!

Sometimes I like having an invisible ailment as I can blend in with the normies. Other times it sucks because nobody thinks I have a problem. Damn my awesomeness at faking it!!!

I have been closed up in my own head with a zipper on my mouth for so long that I often don't know how to express how I feel to someone else. That is the point of taking him to therapy so that we can learn to communicate about it with each other. He had such an opposite childhood that there are places where we have a hard time understanding each other.

Miss Macd and Scarednlonely, I have a chronic illness to go with my mental illness. When I worked, people wouldn't believe I was sick when I went home. Frankly, what is sick suppose to look like? If you acted sick they would complain because you are always acting sick. It's a no win situation.

I hate it when people who accept that your sick at any other time, with the exception of when you have to cancel something with them. Then they take it personally.

Here is a site written by someone with fibromyalgia. You could always relate some of what she says to PTSD. It is a great site for people who "don't look sick" because it relates. I know it helps me feel better.
