Hi, welcome to the forum I also have PTSD and my mother has had Fibromyalgia for a few years now, I was just wondering how severe her fibro is as my mums is mild compared to other people she has met with it.
Hi Jenny,

My wife was diagnosed with Fibro a few years back, and while the severity of it varies from day-to-day, it can often be very, very bad; we find the TIPNA Comparative Pain Scale [1] a very useful tool for chronic pain sufferers to express how bad their pain is, and 8's are not uncommon for her, occurring roughly monthly. 5 - 6 is her "normal". We've been fortunate enough to have found a few things that help lower the pain levels, particularly Pregbalin / Lyrica.

[1] It's available online, on TIPNA's website. I'd link, but my post count isn't high enough yet. It should be the first result in a Google search for 'comparative pain scale', though.

Thank you, mum used to hardly walk but she now only limps she takes amitriptyline to deal with the pain. I will have a look at the website thanks.
