What Made You Angry Today?

drives me nuts when people who don't understand PTSD try to tell me how to handle PTSD.

They mean well, (perhaps) you can always ask them were they did their specialisation in trauma? Oh you don't have a specialist degree in that, would you let someone operate on you that read a few things on the internet? I don't think so - now you know why I won't be following your suggestions.[DOUBLEPOST=1387265414][/DOUBLEPOST]I am not angry today.

@franciemarnie , that's awful about him falling and hurting himself. Well done on saying the truth but not going into rage mode (I'm inspired).

Snap @Ms Spock , I don't feel anger today either. It is a nice feeling. Maybe I confuse anger with generally being irritable or grumpy sometimes? Anger feels a lot deeper than general annoyance, and harder to know what to do with the anger when it's there. I will ponder that. I love this:

anger is a catalyst to initiate change.

That for 40 years, since the deaths of my friends, I have been holding inside of me the desire to die. As if living, after their deaths, was not fair of me. That I am still holding this guilt. It took me years to realize this, and a caring professional or two to point it out, but now that I understand it, why doesn't it go away?
