Clover our dumb as a post cat. Had to put her to sleep today, she wasnt my support animal , still we had her since a kitten. she was 17.

17 is a ripe old age, but it still feels the same to lose one. Condolences EllaB... I lost my Boomer this summer. He was my heart ... a Zen Maine Coon. The dynamic has shifted, but I still miss my Boo.

Ella, sorry for your loss. That is a long time to have a cat. I'm sure she had a good life. Thank you for taking care of her.

Thanks, seems my other cat is missing her, keeps waking me up yowling at 3 am. Shes also 17 and seems to hate being alone right now. not like we can explain why clover isnt here. The vet said she might have had cancer in a kidney and there was no catching that in time even had we noticed off behavior from her. She was always a hider, and a talker, so she seemed well the week before I got seriously depressed this time. She spent that week on the couch with us.

She nearly lit herself on fire once after my husband and I got her. She got on a table we had a candle on and nearly got her tail lit. That and other things she did showed she wasnt our smartest girl, but she was cared for. I keep looking for her to come into the living room, we have bedsheets in the doorway to keep it warm in the room and contain the air conditioning to there for me in the summer. Sometimes seemed if it was closed enough , she couldnt find her way out.

I do sympathise. I had 2 cats, one died and her brother missed her terribly. I would sit at out bedroom dorr during the night crying to come in - and we let him. We bought a kitten and he reverted back to his normal self.

My son left the house to run. Both dogs barked and ran to the window to watch him go. Buddy is still watching out that window. He left without her. :(

This is my boy. He lost his mate a year ago to cancer. He's sixteen now but thinks he's still a kitten. Sorry about the huge image. I tried to add a thumbnail but it would only upload sideways.
