@Lizio yep, old heath was certainly homosexual, in the sense of liking males, at a time when it would not have gone down at all well in public opinion. I have it first hand that he used to take good looking females out on his boat, for appearances sake, but according to the females, never made eye contact or really acknowledged them. The boat was always crewed by very good looking, muscly, young men.
There are also suggestions that spooky security agencies had words with or about a young Heath, regarding his blatant seeking of casual sex with strangers in public toilets in London (in the days before HIV). There has been at least one conviction for that subsequently, that if the multiple middle names are in a different order, might have been a subsequent and still living former prime minister!
As a slight digression, I'm not going to condemn "cottaging" (seeking casual sex with strangers in public toilets), but high risk, thrill seeking behaviour, implies a high time preference, poor control of urges and impulses, and is hardly an indicator of the character traits which are popularly believed to be required in a prime minister...
Personal take, as an anarchist, I don't believe that the role of prime minister is what it is popularly believed to be, and high functioning psychopathic liars are ideal material for what i perceive the actual role to be.
There have been allegations in various corners of the net for a while, that Heath was "homosexual" in the sense that appears to have been a code word for politicians and other prominent figures who were paedophillic.
That double use of the term homosexual, appears to be very clever, note that when Cameron was confronted on breakfast time TV with a list of alleged paedophiles, that he effortlessly replied that he didn't see any point in persecuting "homosexuals"... Entire subject disarmed and the questioner made to appear intolerant.
Got to admit that beyond that, I don't have anything reliable on Heath. Except that he is dead and this can be portrayed as something that happened a long time ago, and everything is sweetness, light, unicorns and rainbows now.
I'd better clarify that the police guy who told me about the difficulty with witness credibility is because the surviving witnesses/victims tend to be serving long prison terms for serious criminal convictions like murder and attempted murder.
Whether those convictions are "safe" or potential "miscarriages of justice" would be a very interesting question and well worthy of some independent investigation.
